Chalmers University of Technology

Bumbee Labs is happy that Chalmers University of Technology, through SMoG (the Spatial Morphology Group, Division of Urban Design and Planning, ACE) has once again selected us to conduct a pedestrian survey. The survey will take at the Chalmers Campus Johanneberg in November. The goal is to map and study pedestrian flows in order to identify ways to make the outdoor spaces more inviting for social meeting and interaction. With anonymized reading of Wi-Fi requests from Wi-Fi-enabled mobile phones (so-called Wi-Fi probe requests or “pings”), our method completely ensures the anonymity of the pedestrians and is approved by the Swedish Data Protection Authority.
